The Rainbow Sansa-Rimba brings a lively splash of color to outdoor environments, making musical play even more engaging. Based on the same layout and acoustic principles as our original Sansa-Rimba, this version features striking rainbow-colored notes that enhance visual interest and support sensory-rich learning. Ideal for school playgrounds, inclusive parks, community spaces, and musical trails, the instrument blends the character of the African Sansa (thumb piano) with the accessibility of a marimba-style arrangement.
The 15 diatonic notes (C4–C6) are arranged to ascend outward from the center, creating an intuitive layout that encourages exploration for beginners while still being enjoyable for more experienced players.
Each colored note is securely mounted to a durable, high-density polyethylene backboard and paired with black-anodized aluminum resonators that deliver excellent projection and resonance. Polyurethane rain baffles and stainless steel security fixings add weather protection and long-term durability.
The Rainbow Sansa-Rimba can be installed in-ground, surface-mounted, or wall-mounted where space is limited. For those seeking a more understated look, the standard Sansa Rimba with plain aluminum notes offers the same layout and sound options in a more traditional finish.
