Robust, weatherproof, and designed for long-term outdoor performance, the Rainbow Cavatina is a colorful diatonic xylophone ideal for players of all ages and abilities. Its anodized rainbow notes are arranged in a traditional left‑to‑right xylophone layout - from low to high - making it instantly intuitive for beginners while still offering expressive musicality for more experienced players.
Assigned to the Percussion Play rainbow scale, the brightly colored notes correspond directly with our Music Books, allowing players to follow color‑matched notation and quickly learn familiar tunes. This feature makes the Rainbow Cavatina especially popular in schools, sensory gardens, inclusive parks, and community play spaces.
Each note is individually mounted to a durable, high‑density polyethylene backboard, positioned over black-anodized aluminum resonators. These resonators deliver excellent projection, resonance, and durability. Every resonator includes a polyurethane rain baffle, while stainless steel security fixings help protect against vandalism and theft.
The instrument can be installed in-ground, surface-mounted, or wall‑mounted, depending on site requirements. For a more understated aesthetic, a Silver Cavatina with plain aluminum notes is also available.
